One of the things you need to consider when traveling is the weather of the destination you are visiting. If you are off to Southeast Asia, it can be a little difficult as the weather changes intricately. Here are destinations in the region to visit for every month.
Rattankiri Highlands, Cambodia (January)
January is perfect for hiking through the Ratanakiri Highlands in Cambodia. The weather is dry, but hikers may like the green landscapes, sky high trees, and indigenous animals particularly during this month when cool winds rush through the Cambodian forests.
Southern Luzon, Philippines (February)

East Timor (May)
May signals the end of East Timor’s wet season and attracts water lovers to go adventuring, with the region’s massive beaches and coral reefs great for snorkeling and scuba diving. Xieng Khouang, Laos (June)

Malaysia (July)
This month is in the middle of a mild monsoon and the best time to travel this region where you can adventure to the Cameron Highlands, tea factories, Tioman Island, and Mount Kinabalu.
Indonesia (August or September)
Dry and wet seasons in Indonesia are to the extremes, making these months the best time to travel visit the country. Some of its popular destinations include active volcanoes, beaches, Mount Batur, Ijen Crater, and the Komodo Island which house the Komodo dragon.
Kyaiktiyo, Myanmar (October)
This month is the best season to visit this part of the country since it is between the monsoon and cold season. Kyaiktiyo, the gravity-defying golden rock sacred to the Burmese deem sacred, is a favorite travel destination for both locals and tourists.
Thailand (November)
Compared to the harshest of rain and sun in the country, the start of the cool season in November provides a somewhat agreeable weather. Aside from the spectacular beaches, Islands and tourist destinations in Thailand, don’t forget to try their famous street food.
Vietnam (December)
November-March’s cool-cold season makes this month the best time to visit Vietnam. Riding dirt bikes, you should visit the Paradise Cave. Don’t forget the traps installed in the War around the Cu Chi tunnels.
