7 Times Harry Potter Films Were Better Than The Books

Hogwarts Boys And Girls Just Being Kids
The pupils of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were all busy. With predictions and mythology running the story, we usually forget that Hermione, Ron, and Harry were actually pre-teens in the opening book.
The film series included some small touches like improving the garments and including original scenes so they can remind viewers that these three are still children at the end of the day, despite the mature duties they encountered.
Seeing the three truly act their age gives us a perspective on the student dormitory life we rarely witness in the books.

I seriously don’t need to put words here. The GIF says a thousand words.
The “Double Trouble” Song
Without having to hear it, music was definitely in the books, but the films skillfully included the song to give Harry Potter’s world an extra texture.
But if we had to choose from all the soundtracks in the film series, the wizarding Grammy goes to “Double Trouble”, a song by the Hogwarts’ acapella group. It was the only time we heard from them.
It Didn’t Give Quidditch Too Much Runtime
Seeing the sport for the first time was exciting. The next time, perhaps further so. But would you really prefer watching bludgers, quaffles, and a golden snitch than seeing characters competing for screen time in an already crowded film series?
While Quidditch was present from the beginning to the very end of the book series, the film chose to explore the emotional lives of the characters more. Although it angered many fans, it went for a more captivating cinematic adventure.
It Trends To Being Darker And Darker
The course of the series drifts to darkness. As the heroes mature, so does the material. The books were undoubtedly powerful as the protagonists were thrown into a tumbler of emotions, but the films stuck to this darker aspect, in a way the books never completely felt warm hugging.
This courage and intensified verism in an essentially non-realistic world in the second half of the film series allowed them to transform trappings of the young adult book genre.
Harry-Hermoine-Ron Love Triangle
To this day, a debate still continues to burn in fan communities. However, the 7th film gave the score to Harry and Hermione because of this particular scene:
Harry and Hermione may not have a romantic relationship, but the love and understanding between the two capture this scene better than any moment in the books.
Portrayal of “The Tale Of The Three Brothers”
Fantasy movies are often heavy on the exposition. In terms of world-building, the audience has a lot to catch on. So when the time came to portray the “The Tale of the Three Brothers”, the makers incorporated a less conventional style. Instead of retelling the story, it was depicted in an inspired animation order.
