Queen Camilla Or Queen Diana? Recent Survey Answers

The 70-year-old Duchess of Cornwall is currently gaining popularity. However, when it comes to voting a queen, many would still choose Princess Diana to take the title over Princess Camilla.

The latest survey shows 61 percent would’ve favored the late Diana to be Queen when Charles ultimately takes the royal throne, while only 14 percent said they would’ve preferred Camilla, Mirror says.

A 7-percent rise from an earlier poll in 2015, thirty-nine percent of the 2,000 individuals surveyed shown would like to see the Duchess of Cornwall to become Queen.

Twenty-two percent have made more positive views of the 70-year-old Duchess over time, while just 7 percent indicated they saw her less positively, an ICM Unlimited survey says.

She had just recently turned 70, celebrating her birthday with charities connected to her. There were around 250 guests, including family and friends, during a special dinner held at the Highgrove House.

The Duchess of Cornwall’s future title has been the topic of a lengthy debate, with some people saying she would never get the title and instead receive the label as the Princess Consort.

Prior to her 2005 royal wedding, the House of Clarence specified that the Duchess had no plan to compete for the title and would want to be called as the Princess Consort. It was even confirmed during the official wedding announcement. However, it did not stop the rumors as they continue to become worse over the past years.

When approached with a similar view by an 8-year-old girl, the Duchess of Cornwall left the door ajar, saying, “You never know.”
