Praise the Internet! It has provided us with countless useful tools and websites, but the following sites are most certainly NOT. As the great Albert Einstein once said: “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity”. Well, this proves it. The first thing need to be asked is who came up with these sites, and the second and maybe more important is who visits them? Oh, and WHY?! On the bright side, if something is meaningless, doesn’t mean it is not fun. Let’s check some of the useless web pages (that somebody might find appealing).
“Bacon Sizzling” – Of course bacon is one of the favorite foods, but what’s the need of creating a site where you can see and hear the ‘sizzling and chirping’ of the bacon while it is fried?
“Falling Falling” – A psychedelic toboggan followed by an irritating sound. I don’t know about you, but it totally gave me the creeps.
“Scanwiches”– This is a digital ode to the favorite meal of all times- THE ALLMIGHTY SANDWICH. The only down side is that you will probably want an actual sandwich.
“PoPoPopcorn”– Stop whatever you are doing, and visit this webpage to watch corn being popped and turned into popcorn…forever. The disturbing thing is that PoPoPopcorn has plenty of loyal fans.
“Watching Grass Grow”– If you think there is more to this webpage than the name says itself, you’re wrong. This site offers you the opportunity to watch grass grow live. It was created in 2002 and it is still on the Internet. That’s quality!
