2017 Best Diet Trends

Whether people are suffering from obesity as a disease or they tend to eat more and gain weight, dieting has always been a worldwide spread topic. Going to the gym, or going for a run won’t do the trick of losing weight if people don’t change their eating habits towards healthier and low-calorie diet.
Every year brings new dieting plans, here are the ones most discussed for 2017!

  1. DASH DIET

The DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet is proclaimed as the best dieting program for many years now. The primary goal of this diet is to lower blood pressure, and on the plus side it offers the best combination of nutrients. This diet consists of a lot of B12 and potassium, and salt should be avoided as much as possible. Age and activity level are also crucial for the DASH diet, and it is focused on vegetables, fruits and healthy grains.

  1. 5:2 DIET

The 5:2 diet, as the name says itself, is based on eating normal for five days (although a cut back on calorie entry is recommended), while the remaining two days dieters must fast i.e. not eat. There are certainly pros and cons to this diet, but the overall effects are good both for losing weight and improving brain function.

  1. CAMBRIDGE DIET

The Cambridge diet is based on the calorie entry. There are six flexible variations of this diet, starting from daily calorie entry of 440 calories to 1,500 calories a day. Fruit juices, drinks rich in sugar, sweetened coffee or tea and alcohol are forbidden. This diet guarantees fast weight loss, a characteristic of this diet that many will consider to be an advantage over other diets, but right because of that it may come to the unwanted yo-yo effect.

Other diet plans that are highly valued for 2017 are: Alkaline diet, Durkan diet, Slim-Fast diet, Atkins diet, Mediterranean diet.
