This Grown Man Served As The Flower Girl In His Cousin’s Wedding And It Is Refreshing To See

Wedding flower girls are commonly not older than 8. They march on the aisle wearing their cute little dresses, throwing a few rose petals, then falling asleep after the ceremony.

But let’s face it, as adorable as they are, it can be slightly repetitive, which is the reason why it was so invigorating to see a grown man like Patrick Casey served as the flower girl during his cousin’s wedding.

The 28-year-old is extremely close to his cousin Andria, and when they were both just kids, the two became the ring bearer and the flower girl during a family wedding.

When Andria was about to get married, she wanted to ensure her cousin gets a major role: the most epic flower girl man.

To honor their wedding experience 20 years ago, Casey carried the same basket Andria brought.

Casey said the guests appeared surprised at the beginning seeing a male adult walking down the aisle with elegance and a lace basket.

Clearly, all the attendees adored it because it seems grown men are actually more hilarious than children.

He was not the first flower man. A 2011 article published by New York Times recorded the appearance of flower men and the growing subversion of gender roles during wedding ceremonies.

The article also writes that while a flower man can be the individual to separate the conventional form of a wedding ceremony, a matter of which Casey was well aware of.

And it appears he feels very confident with his wedding performance.
