Experienced Skydiver Sends A Sad Video To His Wife Before Jumping To His Death

On the morning of July 11, experienced sky diver Capotorto Vitantonio jumped from a plane just a few seconds before the team got a grave message radioed from ground dispatchers, forcing them to stop Vitantonio from jumping. But, it was all too late.

DeLand said the 27-year-old jumped and did not pull the cord that opens his parachute, according to a redrafted police report released a few days after the incident.

His wife, Costansa Litellini frantically rushed into the Skydive DeLand building situated on Flightline Boulevard, begging the employees to radio the plane her husband is in and stop him from sky diving.

The 25-year-old had just received a video from Vitantonio. He said he was not sky diving and “not going to pull the cord and that he was going somewhere wonderful.”

When the employee Tara Richards reached the plane, which was 13,500 feet in the air, he had already jumped.

According to what Richards said to the police, she saw him and appeared to be ‘normal’.

The Police were sent to Skydive DeLand concerning an injured sky diver. They started to look for him from the skies and the ground. Officers ultimately found the sky diver face flat in an open field, close to the runway.

Initial investigations believed it was a skydiving incident. However, a further investigation revealed it was a suicide.

The skydiver’s FB page is filled with vertigo-inducing images of himself skydiving — either with another person attached to his back or solely accompanied by a GoPro camera.
